Prelude - the Footie Fairy

Your support is needed.
As in the last 6 years, the ETF team will defend the honour of the agency in what has become a classic: The Interagency Football Tournament.	Lisbona (2011) Parma (2012) Cologne (2013) Barcellona (2014) Londra (2015) Alicante (2016)
This year 26 men teams  and 13 mixed teams from various EU agencies across Europe will be joining in Helsinki for the competition, between 17 and 18 of June. For the third time in a row, the ETF will participate with both  a men’s team and a mixed team.	1326

And this is you. Colleagues have often shown interest in the football team, either interested in playing or just as a social event.  Or small-talk.
If you are looking for a way to support the football team, this is the moment.
We could have organised a tombola…
… we could have organised a flea market or sell our t-shirts….
… we could have organized an all-booze-and-dance evening …
… we were desperate enough even to bring back in memory scenes from Full Monty (but luckily we realised that age is massively against us)…	Do NOT follow this link
… but  the best we could find was to ask the help of the Footie-Fairy (What? You don’t believe in footie-fairies? Aaaargh, every time you say it  a footie fairy dies, that’s probably the reason she was the only one left!)
No, it’s not going to support our beers…
… or our hangouts and wild parties  (parties? what parties? We’re serious sportsmen and sportswomen)…
… but is to contribute to buy the tickets and accommodation for those joining the team but struggle to afford it. All ETF players  joining are already making a contribution towards the costs of our Mister (Tomasso) and other female players (we need three on the pitch at any time, and we’ve just lost both Anna and Susanna), and we will add to whatever the Footie fairy brings us so that their costs are covered.
And we renew our appear to those of you who would want to join us, both as players and as supporters, both to the tournament (found really cheap accommodation, 25€/night/person! But the plane ticket now it’s quite expensive) and to our weekly games in Turin. Even more so, if you ever thought of yourself as female player (or have a daughter/wife who might give it a thought) please consider joining the mixed team – it’s good fun! That being said, this is a personal initiative, it’s friends supporting friends (or colleagues supporting colleagues). This message is only sent to those of you who, in various circumstances, have shown your interest and support. The Fairy has left one envelope in Mircea’s and Fabio’s offices (how could there be one single envelope in two different offices? At the same time? Well,  it’s a multi-dimensional envelope, fairies can do that, even the old ones – it’s called a tesseractvelope) – any contribution is welcome and will be properly reported and accounted for.
